The Deputy Speaker of Parliament Anita Among has barred MPs from discussing the health condition of MP Muhammad Ssegirinya in Parliament.

"Because of the demands of medical ethics, we shall not discuss the health of the Hon. Ssegirinya on the floor but we are doing all we can to ensure he gets help," Among said.

She made the remarks on Thursday afternoon during Parliament’s plenary session.

Among said the House was equally following up on the condition of MP Allan Sewanyana.

"Yesterday the health minister brought a report on the state of health of Hon. Ssegirinya to our office and together with the Leader of Opposition, we are consulting the Executive and the House will be informed of the action taken," Among told the MPs.
