KAMPALA - The Archbishop of the Church of Uganda Dr Stephen Kazimba Mugalu is worried about the increased number of youth flying to Middle East countries for jobs.

Kazimba made remarks during the home service at his palace in Namirembe, Kampala where he said that some have been tortured, thereby some losing life.

“I urge the government to create job opportunities like starting up industries so that youths can get employed in their home countries,” Kazimba said. 

Kazimba also asked unemployed youth to leave cities and go back to villages and start practising farming. 

He said this should reduce the crime rates within the city.

The Archbishop also warned parents against the increased child kidnap and sacrifices which has led to the death of young children in the country.
