The National Council for Higher Education could do a great service to the gullible students by timely display of information on which institutions and courses have been accredited.

By so doing, they could help universities to only offer courses that impart the right skills. This could in fact make unemployment a thing of the past.

Soon after the results are released, many universities massively advertise in readiness for the academic year. However applicants should beware of those institutions that may invite them for academic  annihilation.

Therefore, the National Council for Higher Education on its part as a regulator should from time to time be updating Ugandans on which institutions are registered to offer what courses.

If there are any ramifications that come with displaying the  details of such institutions publicly, then NCHE should explain to Ugandans, why such information cannot be displayed.

It’s also within the mandate of NCHE to help those institutions meet minimum requirements for registration. National council should encourage owners of unaccredited institutions to initiate the process of registration, failure to have such institutions registered encourages corrupt practices, those familiar with the central theme of the government inspector set in the corrupt Russian society will appreciate this concerns.”

With the streets now hoovering many graduates some of which are even from government institutions what then will be the fate of graduates from pseudo institutions? No wonder that it is difficult to use  awards from such institutions for further studies.

In an attempt to lure some students such institutions play certain pranks; for example that by studying with them, you will join university x for further studies.

Usually the highest culprits are those applicants from rural areas who are much un aware of some of the Trojan adverts, by some institutions, a parent who has sold his property to push his child to institutions that are not mandated to operate gets very frustrated, of course this is very disheartening on the family and perhaps aregrettable investment on the family.

In the past students used to look for universities, now days universities are the ones looking for students in such cases there should be sufficient information on the status of various institutions.

Of course the above exposition is critical to those who find themselves in such situations and iwill sumarise this with one of the books i read recently   titled the making of modern mercenary, a passerby who requests GOD to give a mercenary peace, the mercenary feels offended with such agreeting as mercenaries’ do not want peace.  As peace can bring misery to them, they live by war and violence.and nothing else
