Police Elite Flying Squad has arrested a suspected serial armed robber said to be terrorizing Kampala residents.

An operative who spoke on condition of anonymity said Swaibu Kirabira alias Fox heads a notorious gang of six hardcore criminals and has over eight files of various cases at different police stations in the city.

The operative said whenever he is convicted he does not serve a period of more than two years before he is back on the streets.

“His body is all riddled with bullet wounds; he has been shot several times but he never dies. I wonder how many 'lives' he has,” the operative lamented.

He further said Kirabira’s gang is also notorious for raiding people’s homes and terrorizing them; they even rape women and girls in the house while the men are forced to watch. The operative said Kirabira is also one of those implicated in the rape and murder of a girl in Nansana.

Kirabira is charged with armed robbery on file number SD: 12/03/07/2014.
