KCCA FC took a firm step closer to a record tenth FUFA Super League title as its closest rivals Sports Club Victoria University and Vipers stumbled on Friday.
The Phillip Omondi stadium was set alight with cheers KCCA, losers to Express in their last match at Lugogo, this time hit the ground running thrashing Proline to take a two point lead.
Tony Odur and Gadaffi Kiwanuka got KCCA‘s first goals before Ivan Ntege added a brace in the final quarter of the game.
Nsimbe is now working round the clock to ensure that he wins three of his four remaining games to retain the title.
Elsewhere second placed Sports Club Victoria and Simba played to KCCA’s favour as they were held to a goalless draw by Simba.
At Nakivubo, SC Villa and Vipers battled to a 2-2 draw. In Wankulukuku, former KCCA striker Ogwang Julius was on target as Express beat Bright stars 1-0.
In Mbale, URA’s new signing Robert Sentongo scored a brace to keep the former champions in the title race. Ali Feni and Musa Doka scored the other goals.
