Dubai investor meets UMSC officials

A prominent investor from Dubai, Mr. M. J Aziz together with Hon. Haji Muyanja Mbabaali met UMSC officials on Tuesday at the UMSC Headquarters Old Kampala. Mr. Aziz is the Chairman of Eastpal International Ltd, a Dubai based company.

The meeting was held in the office of the Ag. Deputy Mufti Shk. Khatwib Mukuluwakika.

Speaking on behalf of UMSC, the UMSC Secretary General Eng. Shk. Siraj Zaid Kavuma commended Mr. Aziz for making a visit to UMSC one of his priorities during his current visit to Uganda.

Shk. Kavuma briefed the guest about the structures and projects of UMSC including the inter faith programs being implemented under the Inter Religious Council of Uganda.

He commended Hon. Haji Muyanja Mbabaali for bringing the guest and prayed for a fruitful friendship between UMSC and Mr. Aziz.

Haji Mbabaali said that Mr. Aziz wanted to learn more about UMSC and how he can partners with it in different projects.

In his remarks, Mr. M. J Aziz said he was impressed by the organization of UMSC and promised to work with UMSC leadership especially in establishing income generating projects.

He said now that western countries are cutting their aid due to the recent signing of the anti-homosexuality bill by President Yoweri Museveni, Muslims should come up with a self-sustainability plan which he said he will support. 

Mr. Aziz was accompanied by Jawad Ali Aziz, another Dubai based investor.
