Friday Night Lights (At YMCA)

Ikong v Legends

Amoding v Kasewu

Malinga v Enabu

Blick v Koma (Live on Urban TV)

TEAM Blick’s clash with Team Koma at the Friday Night Lights is Friday's live match on Urban TV. By most indications, the game should make for good viewing.

Team Blick and Team Koma are captained by Norman Blick and Ben Komakech respectively, two of the cleanest and most skilful players in Uganda. Their teams try to live and let live, which is a crucial distinction in the ultra-competitive FNL.

By this logic, this contest should be short on the aggression that occasionally takes the fluidity out of FNL games.

Last week’s televised match – between Team Blick and Team Duxx – turned out to be the match of the campaign, going to double overtime before Blick’s troops edged it 63-61.

Everyone will be hoping Friday night’s affairs can live up to the heights set by that contest, which was a reminder that on-court action is capable of providing all the entertainment on any given evening.

Of course, the basketball action will always be one of items on FNL’s delicious menu. Cedric Babu and his team have created a brand and product that is gripping in many ways – on and off court.
