A study conducted by two data researchers, David Mccandless and Lee Byron, 4years ago show that couples tend to break up in the weeks before Valentine's Day.

Well, if you are in love but since Monday you have not heard your partner including you in his plans that is a sign that he is dodging you or he does not care much about you.

Valentine is a time for loved ones to exchange all types of gifts and feel loved, but since you are not going to be with your lover this time, so what to do with this day?

Focus on your self
Truth be told, you will not have the opportunity to sit opposite someone in a nice restaurant looking all unstable with love or lust, so after work, go back home and prepare your favourite meal, spend time doing what you love.

Or go somewhere nice like at the beach in the evening, catch a good movie, read a good book, visit a salon, if you have a click of single friends, just organize a single’s party ,party and gossip. After all you are single.

Spend time with family and friends.

Being alone is far worse on Valentine's Day because it feels as if everyone else has a loving partner and you are the exception.

Since this year’s Valentine's Day falls on a Friday, on your way to home , give something to those street kids on the streets, after all valentine is about showing love.

Go and visit your aunt who has been bothering you to show her a man in your life. By the time, you leave her home, she will know why you are still single and you will be happy.

Serve others

Share your love with those who need it most, instead of focusing on your own feelings. Prepare someone a meal or offer them a gift.

If you are a boss at work, be different today. Don’t shout at your juniors and let them be.

Deal with your other personal problems: if you are shy, if you think that you are ugly or if you have any other issue that may be preventing you from getting into a relationship then it’s time to fix this issue.

There might be a root cause to your loneliness and unless you deal with it, you will still be alone on the next Valentine’s Day.

By the way, think of the money you're saving.

You will lose nothing if you stay at home and just sleep. It is just one day.

Save your money.
