THE Mufti of Uganda His Eminence Sheikh Shaban Ramadhan Mubajje has been commended by the listeners of 94.1 Bilal FM for his leading role in the establishment and modernization of radio Bilal as well as many other initiatives that have put UMSC on the map.

This was during a special event held on Saturday February 8th in the National Mosque Conference Hall at Old Kampala during which the Mufti met Radio Bilal listeners who gave him lots of gifts.

During the event, the Mufti had an interactive session with the listeners after delivering his speech in which he highlighted the achievements of UMSC in the 14 years he has been in charge as Mufti of Uganda.

In addition to the establishment of radio stations and several development programs, the Mufti informed his audience that UMSC was able to acquire the Land Title at Old Kampala Hill on which UMSC Headquarters and Radio Bilal are situated.

He noted that no serious development would have taken place on the Hill without the guarantee of Muslim ownership of the land.

While displaying the Land Title, the Mufti assured his audience that the document was safe and dismissed rumors that it is not in UMSC hands.

The Mufti thanked Radio Bilal listeners for loving him and for loving Radio Bilal noting that they should do the same to other people in order to grantee unity in diversity.

He urged them to be proud of Radio Bilal and to support it and promote it as much as they could because of the wonderful job it is doing in propagating Islam and promoting unity, development and dialogue.

“Plans are underway to establish sister radios in all regions in Uganda or set up boosters so that radio Bilal can reach all corners of Uganda and beyond” said the Mufti.
