SHARON Pajije insists that Peace Busingye is her lucky partner and they will continue through the rest of the season after they won the first outing at the beginning of the Castle Lite National Beach Volleyball Tour that concluded on Sunday. 

Pajije had picked on Busingye temporarily because her usual partner Vivienne Aketch is still not available. 

Pajije and Busingye won the first leg of the tour on their first pairing after beating Shamim Makongoro and Margaret Namyalo in straight sets in the final. 

“It is sorted. I don’t see myself partnering with another person. I normally start the season badly but we have started this with victory. Perhaps we will continue to win. So it is only fair to give ourselves more time to play together (with Busingye),” Pajijje, who in the last three years has partnered with Aketch and Christine Alupo said after the victory on Sunday. 

Makongoro and Namyalo had sailed through to the final 21-15, 22-20 in a match that saw hard fighting Kenyan Violet Akisa paired with Hellen Namazzi pick a cut on her right chin after falling clumsily in a dive.
