Rubaga North Member of Parliament Moses Kasibante has been arrested after he went to Old Kampala police station to grant him permission to hold a rally tomorrow (Tuesday).

Police said it was enforcing a warrant of arrest issued by Mwanga Court II over charges of unlawful assembly.

Police last week police denied former Lord Mayor Elias Lukwago and Kasibante permission to hold a rally in Rubaga.
The police rejected their request on grounds that the rally was likely to cause a breach of peace.

Police spokesperson, Judith Nabakooba said although the two politicians had formerly sought permission as required by law, police could not allow the meeting to go on.
