Nkumba University is one of the largest private Universities in East Africa granted a Charter by the Government of Uganda in 2006. The Main Campus of the University is located 27 kilometers along Kampala-Entebbe Highway.

In its academic and extra-curricular activities, Nkumba University aims to provide an enabling environment for the students to achieve competence, creativity, confidence and character so as to think critically and act responsibly in an increasingly competitive national and global environment.
