Football is an unpredictable sport! The rate at which Ugandan players are scoring goals in the Mapinduzi Cup here is indeed surprising considering the scoring crisis in the FUFA Super league.

The opening five games have produced 13 goals, with Ugandans claiming six of them.

But if the trend continues this way, there is enough to suggest that Cranes coach Micho Sredjovich will be a relieved man ahead of the 2015 Africa Nations Cup qualifiers.

The Ugandans who have found the target so far include Azam's Brian Umony (one), Tony Odur, Herman Wasswa and William Wadri, who scored during KCC’s win against KMKM and URA’s Owen Kasule and Erias Ssekisambu with one apiece already.

Today, URA FC will be back in action against Cloves Stars of Zanzibar in a game they must win if they are to go through to the quarter finals.

On Wednesday, URA lost two points in their opening game against CHOUNI in Gomban stadium but coach Paul Nkata is confident that his team is now prepared enough to fight for three points.

“We started badly but i have too much hope in my boys. Sometimes in a tournament, the first game is hard, but today we have made some corrections and i promise that we are going to do what we can to get results because we have to win,” Nkata stated after trainning in Gomban stadium on Thursday.
