MUBENDE - Two children aged three and five died in an ugly accident in Mubende district on Christmas Eve.

Police said the parents of the two children, whom they were traveling with, survived the Tuesday accident and were taken to hospital.

Fifteen other survivors were admitted at Mubende regional referral hospital in critical condition.

The cause of the deadly crash, which occured at Kalongo, about 15 kilometers to Mubende town, had not been established by press time.

There have been repeated calls by the police to the public concerning taking caution while making merry amid the festive excitement.

Drivers have been warned against drunk driving and overspeeding.
