Kiprotich won the title in Moscow in August this year and he will be defending it in 2017 when he lines up in the same event in Beijing, China.

“I am going to sit down with my managers and come up with a good programme,” said Kiprotich.
Kiprotich beat World Mountain running gold medallist Philip Kiplimo and Mumbai marathon winner Jackson Kiprop, to take the winner’s award which came with a sh1.5m cash prize.
It was the second time in a row after taking the accolade in 2012.
