LAST Thursday saw two fashion awards events held at the same time at different venues.

The fourth edition of the Afrikan Fashion Walk Awards were held at Cayenne Lounge, while the inaugural Men’s Fashion Xplosion, Style and Fashion took place at the MTN Arena in Lugogo.

Why the organisers decided to hold the events on the same night we may never know, but both events showed just how far the fashion industry in Uganda still has to go.

But every institution needs some sort of recognition, so does the fashion industry. For better or for worse, these were the winners at both events.
