Al Merriekh v KCCA

CAF Confederations Cup
Victoria University v Don Bosco

Uganda Super League champions KCCA open their CAF champions’ league campaign against Sudan’s Al Merriekh in Khartoum on the weekend of February 7-9 next year.

SC Victoria University will on the same weekend battle DR. Congo side Don Bosco in Kampala with the return legs due the following weekend.

In 2009 KCC were eliminated by the Sudanese side 2-1 on aggregate after losing 1-0 at Nakivubo and drawing 1-1 in Khartoum.

The University side on their part might just as well rely on former Don Bosco defender Godfrey Walusimbi who had a short stint with them for any insights about the DR Congo side.

The winner between KCCA and Al Merreikh will meet the winner between Mbabane Swallows (Swaziland) and Nkana FC (Zambia) in the second round while the winner between Victoria University and Don Bosco will take on Mali’s Djoliba.
