WHAT started as a highly billed game did not live to expectations as D’Mark Kobs outplayed Toyota Buffaloes with a 25-9 win in the Nile Special Premier Rugby League on Saturday.

Ronald Musajjagulanyago gave Kobs a 10-0 lead courtesy of two tries at Kyadondo Rugby Club.

Later, James Ijongat delivered a conversion to make it 12-0. Cyrus Wathum added a try for Kobs for a 17-0 half-time score.

In the second half, Buffaloes clawed back with a penalty by Philip Pariyo to take the score to 17-3. But Scot Oluoch replied with a try to stretch Kobs’ lead to 22-3.

Buffaloes then had two penalties courtesy of Pariyo for a 22-9 margin.

Ijongat got a penalty to seal victory for Kobs.
