By Mary Karugaba

Members of Parliament have demonstrated accusing the security at Parliament of denying access to the new parking lot.

The angry MPs have parked their vehicles at all Parliament outlets and nearby roads blocking traffic. Those who talked to Vision Online said their cars will remain parked there until the House administration come to their rescue.

The demonstration comes after the Speaker’s announcement on Tuesday that the parking lot would be open to MPs for parking from today.

The MPs were however, turned away by the security who explained that they were still sorting out some security issues before the legislators start using the facility.

President Yoweri Museveni commissioned the sh36b facility last month.
