Two suspected Democratic Republic of Congo M23 rebels and a pastor have been detained in Kabale district for allegedly participating in the murder of a Kabale taxi driver.

Yunus Byaruhanga- a taxi driver at Visitours hotel stage in Kabale Municipality was kidnapped and shot dead on Novembers 25 along Lake Bunyonyi road and his body later dumped into the lake.
The gunmen who disguised themselves as tourists hired him at around 7:30 pm to take them to Lake Bunyonyi for camping but later shot him twice, killing him instantly.
Bosco Arop, the DPC Kabale confirmed the arrests but did not disclose their identities for fear of jeopardizing investigations.
