KAMPALA - Drama has ensued in Parliament as Kyadondo East MP Ibrahim Semujju Nganda was shoulder-lifted and thrown out of Parliament on Wednesday.
Part of the legislator's coat got ripped (right) during the physical struggle.
The ugly scene was as a result of the MP’s refusal to get out of the House after the Deputy Speaker Jacob Oulanyah ordered him to leave.
Semujju and three other MPs were recently suspended over misconduct. Each of the suspended MPs will have to apologize upon return.
Semujju sneaked into the House and turned a deaf ear even when deputy Speaker Oulanyah gave him 15 minutes to find the exit door.
Oulanyah was forced to adjourn the House for 20 minutes for Semujju to take heed of his orders but when the MP snubbed him, he directed the Surgent at Arms to boot him out.
