Golola Moses has emerged victor over Titus Tugume in the East and Central Africa challenge fight at Freedom City.
The much hyped fight got dramatic a fortnight ago when Tugume procured a coffin and paraded to the media and vowed it would be Golola's resting place after the fight. Fate though has seen things turn around.
Golola who was in Kenya undergoing body mechanics defying training trounced his opponent in the first round to the delight and disappointment of many - in equal measure.
Prior to the match his minder Kiwanuka said: “I can’t say much for him. All I can say is that Golola is fit to go because he has had good training but you will hear what he will tell you at Freedom City!”
Golola cunningly did not attend a press conference where his opponent paraded the coffin and vowed he would be 'laid to rest' as he was reportedly fine tuning for the contest in a special training in Nairobi but Kiwanuka said then that the fighter was aware of all that happened.
In what turned out to be mind games ahead of the much hyped fight, Golola said it would be down to the fight to see who would be taken away in the coffin.
Golola is the East and Central African champion while Tugume holds the national belt in the super middleweight category.
