Airtel National Basketball League
Sparks v Rangers
Rhinos v Warriors
RONNIE Kasewu’s hamstring injury has left a big hole in the Riham Warriors backcourt and the Charging Rhinos are keen to fill it with another loss.
The two clubs meet today in the Airtel National Basketball League (ANBL) at the YMCA in a game that a few days go looked like a sure Warriors win.
But back-to-back defeats, first to the Ndejje University Angels and then to the eight-man Nkumba Marines have left the Warriors looking shaky and there for the taking.
Ivan Enabu, Sam Gombya and coach Emmanuel Samanya have missed at least one of the Warriors last two games but it is Kasewu’s absence from both matches that has created the biggest gap.
Rhinos coach Ronnie Mutebi says his team will go for the kill or be it against an opponent he considers an “injured lion”.
Mutebi cautioned: “Truth be told, an injured lion is a dangerous one. So as much we are excited by the injuries the Warriors have, we know they will come out fighting.”
