Two years ago a young man developed a concept and nothing stopped him in his wake to make it one of the most successful social events in the country.
Celebrating the second anniversary Wednesday night at Club Silk, the young entrepreneur, Ibra Sebatta, was all praises for the various sponsors and mentors that have seen him take this concept to the next level.
Actually running out of expletives for the various sponsors, including Saturday Vision's SWaGG, he went on and on about the hurdles they have overcome and the strides they have made to come this far.
Kicking off the evening was a cocktail that was graced by some of Kampala's socialites and representatives of different sponsors. The event was meant to be a thank you to the people that have made Kadanke what it is.
The evening kicked off with a catwalk to spice up the night's event whose highlight was a Kadanke collection of girl tops in varying colours that clearly appeal to the young fashionable generation.
With eats and drinks having flowed in equal measure, the various sponsors were awarded plaques as a token of appreciation for their support.
Kadanke is a youth-targeted franchise meant to tap various talents among the young generation especially in theatre, dance and drama. This is achieved through school tours which also serves as a form of entertainment where the best performers are rewarded with freebies.
Two years down the road Kadanke is looking good and like Ibrah said at the event’s second anniversary: "There are here to scale the heights!"
