THE Uganda Lacrosse Union calendar will kick with local clubs battling each other in the Kings Cup on Saturday at Makerere University Business School in a one-day knock out tournament.
The third edition of this championship, first of its kind on African soil will see five league teams; Strykers, Panthers, Kings, Warriaz and Oneonta battling for the top prize.
Last year’s winners, Warriaz walked away with a cash prize of Sh1m. Warriaz will be looking to redeem some pride after a disappointing league campaign won by Strykers.
However, Stryker’s Kenneth Kasule believes they have what it takes to add the Kings Cup to their league triumph.
“With the training we have had for now over three months, I see us being at the top. However, we will not take things lightly while playing and I will look on making more assists” said Kasule.
