UGANDAN footballer David Obua has started training with University of Pretoria in South Africa and could return to competitive football in the Premier Soccer League this season.

Obua, who previously played for Kaizer Chiefs, is currently a free agent after his contract with Scottish club Hearts expired last year.

According to a source at AmaTuks, it is too early to speculate whether the former Cranes star will join the team.

“He is here and training with us. The coach or management have not said a word about his presence at training, but the man is enjoying himself here and there is great potential that he could end up a permanent figure at the club,” the source told South Africa website KickOff.com.

Obua was also speculated to be considering a move to Orlando Pirates.
