Provision of medical insurance services to UEGCL Staff

1. Uganda Electricity Generation Company Ltd has allocated/received funds from its budget to be used for the acquisition of medical insurance services to its staff.
2. UEGCL invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the provision of medical insurance services to its staff.
3. Bidding will be conducted in accordance with the open domestic bidding procedures contained in the Government of Uganda’s Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act, 2003, and are open to all bidders from eligible source countries.
4. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from the address given in No.8 (a) below and inspect the bidding documents at the address given below in No. 8(a) from 9:00am to 4:00pm during working days.
5. A complete set of Bidding Documents in English may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the address below in No. 8(a) and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of UGX.50,000 (Fifty thousand shillings only). The method of payment will be by cash upon which the bidder will be presented a receipt. The Bid document should be picked in person. No liability will be accepted for loss or late delivery thereof.
6. Bids must be delivered to the address below in No. 8(b) at or before 30th April 2013.
7. All bids must be accompanied by a bid security of UGX. 2,000,000 (Two million shillings only).
Late bids shall be rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders’ representatives who choose to attend at the address below in 8(b) at 4:00pm
