1. The Uganda Industrial Research Institute has allocated funds to be used for Acquisition of a Hand Made Paper Plant Machinery, Concrete Roofing Tiles & Block Machines and a Mineral Water Processing Line.
2. The Uganda Industrial Research Institute now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the:
Lot 1: Supply, installation & commissioning of Hand Made Paper Plant Machinery.
Lot 2: Supply, installation & commissioning the Concrete Roofing Tiles & Block Machine
Lot 3: Supply, installation & commissioning of a Water Processing Line.
3. Bidding will be conducted in accordance with the Open International Bidding Procedures contained in the Government of Uganda’s Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act, 2003, and is open to all bidders from eligible source countries.
4. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from Uganda Industrial Research Institute and inspect the bidding documents at the address given below at in No. 7(a) from 8:00am to 5:00pm on week days except public holidays.
5. A complete set of Bidding Documents for all three lots in English may be collected from the address indicted in No. 7(a) upon presentation of Letters of expression of interest.
6. Bids must be delivered and registered to the address in No. 7(a) at or before 12:00 noon (Local Time) on Friday 10th May 2013 for Lot 1; Lot 2; and Lot 3 Bids shall be valid for a period of 120 working calendar days after Bid Opening.
Late bids shall be rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders’ representatives who choose to attend at the address in No. 7(b) at 12:15 p.m. (Local Time) on Friday, 10th May, 2013.
