Security agencies in Luwero district have recovered a gun believed to have been used by the UPDF soldier who killed 10 people in Bombo town last week.

A combined team of the Police and UPDF also recovered an army uniform and a pair of boots belonging to Private Patrick Okot Odoch abandoned together with the gun in a bush. Odoch is on the run following the March 9 incident.

The district Police commander, Godfrey Ninsiima, said on Saturday that the items were recovered from Nyimbwa village near Bombo town. Odoch is suspected to have fired bullets at people who were drinking in a bar in Bombo town, killing five soldiers and six civilians. Two others were wounded.
