Tell us about your childhood?
I grew up in Bukoto, a Kampala suburb, where we played all kinds of games. It was a nice place because we mingled with different people. It has helped me to be able to live with all categories of people.
How do you handle stalkers?
It is not easy to handle stalkers because some of them might be your fans and friends. One time a gentleman waited for me at the television station and when I came out, he called my name, but I did not know him. It was night time, so I jumped on a bodaboda and left. He chased after me in his car.
At some point, he jumped on a bodaboda and followed me while calling my name. Thank God I reached the gate at home and entered before he arrived. I did not know what he wanted.
Are you dating anyone?
I am single and comfortable. The last man I dated was slow. He seemed not to see that time was against women. In two to three years I will be off the market. I need someone who moves at the same pace with me.
Which kind of man would sweep you off your feet?
Every woman has a man of her dreams. But I like a man who gives me my space. I do not like people who judge me and those who pretend to be what they are not, just to try to please me. Poor time keepers nag me. I do not mind about the financial status of a man, but his character.
It seems there are no such men. Would you give up if you did not meet one with such a character?
The issue is not about meeting one, I know there are many out there who have the character I want, but have not knocked at my door. That person should be simple, open-minded, flexible and above all, developmental.
There are many women who are not dating and say they are comfortable. Is that the trend?
Women are fed up. We are tired of guys who waste our time. Girls mature fast, so they need people who can commit and be ready to move to the next level.
What do people like about you?
You know I am a Mukiga and they say Bakiga are tough people. Some people like my skin complexion, eyes and legs.
