Dear counsellor, I am 24 years old. I met a man in May, after getting a job in Mbarara district. Both of us are Baganda. However, we had just dated for a month and my boyfriend started suggesting that we have a baby, to which I objected.
At times he would come to my home and I would sometimes go to his much as he always wanted us to start living together.
However, I discovered my boyfriend had another girlfriend. When I found her at his place we quarrelled and he beat us up. He blamed the other girl for opening the door for me, while I was blamed for asking too many questions.
I left my boyfriend and he recently started saying he wanted a second chance. I want to forgive him, but I learnt that he was still in touch with the other girl.
Whenever I raise that issue, he says he will explain after I have given him a second chance. I forgave him for beating me, but cannot reconcile with him. What should I do?
