1. Makerere University has allocated funds to be used for the acquisition of Consultancy Services for production of detailed Architectural Designs, Specifi cations, and Bills of Quantities for Central Teaching Facilities, Refurbishment of Old Laboratory and Diary Value Chain at Kabanyolo.

2. Makerere University invites sealed bids from eligible and suitably qualifi ed bidders for the provision of Consultancy Services

3. Bidding will be conducted in accordance with the Open Domestic Bidding procedures contained in the Government of Uganda’s Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act, 2003.

4. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from Procurement & Disposal Unit; Lincoln Flats A 5 and inspect the bidding documents at the address given below at 7(a) during working hours (8.00am-5.00pm).

5. A complete set of Bidding Documents in English may be purchased by you at the address below at 8(b) and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of shs. 200,000/= (Two hundred thousand Uganda shillings only). The method of payment will be cash payment at Stanbic Bank, Makerere Branch, A/c No.0140018638901 and thereafter get a receipt from the University Revenue Offi ce in the Main Administration Building.

6. There will be a pre- bid meeting on Friday 5th April 2013 at 10:00am in the Investment Board Room, Lincoln flats-C6 to allow bidders seek clarifi cation on the solicitation document and also inspect the site of the proposed works.

7. Bids must be delivered to the address below at 8(c) at or before 10.00am on Tuesday 23rd April 2013. Late bids shall be rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders’ representatives, who choose to attend at the address below at 7(d) at 10.20am on Tuesday 23rd April 2013.

9. Makerere University reserves the right to accept or reject any bid or all bids.
