Tuff B, why that name? Are you dangerous?
I got it from my mother. When I was young, I was a no-nonsense boy. Even at school my classmates respected and feared me. I would be called to discipline anyone who messed up. When my mother got to know, she started calling me Tough Robert. When I grew up, I decided to use it as my stage name.
How do you handle stalkers?
Oh my God! I have so many stalkers! What is annoying is that all of them are beautiful. I have tried to prove to them that I am in a stable relationship, but they do not seem bothered. Of late, I do not give out my number and I do not interact with anyone beyond working hours. Right now, I have 600 facebook messages from girls who are dying to see me.
How do you feel when you are presenting and a fan requests for your song?
It is challenging because people might think that I want to promote my own songs. But I feel good when a fan asks for it because I get to know that I am on the right track.
Why do you always fight with your fiancée?
Man, that girl pisses me off every day. I told her to get off facebook, but she refused. Personally I do not run my page, but she is always on her page chatting with strangers. For any man who loves his woman, he will be jealous to see his girlfriend getting everyone’s attention. As if that is not enough, she has a clique of girls she hangs out with.
Now that you have a child together, when are you getting married?
Having a son does not mean that I should marry her. It goes back to respect, how you handle me and knowing your place as a woman. The day she starts pleasing me and following my orders is the day I will marry her.
Do you believe in gender balance?
I do not believe in it and that is why I do not date women with money. I have to feel like I am the one providing for her not her providing for me. We cannot be at the same level. A man is supposed to be the head of the family.
Why did you decide to sing with Bebe Cool among all musicians?
Bebe is my friend. And since I am new in the industry, I had to start business with a friend. Besides, Bebe is a hardworking man who does not care what others say about him. If he wants to go for something, he goes for it. Because of that, I follow in his footsteps.
