Members of Kampala Club bowed in a moment of silence in honour of the late Eria Kategaya who passed away Saturday at Nairobi International Hospital.

The late Kategaya, a tennis player, was one of the honorary members of the club.

This was after a one week competition that saw over 200 members compete in tennis, table tennis, badminton, chess, pool, swimming, scrabble, squash, mweso, darts and a walking race.

Kanyomozi called on more of the corporate world to benefit from the facilities at Kampala Club. MTN that beat Centenary Bank, UBC and Rwenzori Water among the corporate participants.

One of the officials Simon Mugabi commended the late Kategaya for consistency and encouraging talent development.

“The late will be greatly missed because he had not only expressed himself as a sportsman, but also introduced family members to sports,” noted badminton coach Mugabi.
