CAF Champions League

March 2

URA v Coton Sport

URA resumed training on Thursday as the tax collectors prepare to welcome Coton Sport of Cameroon in a CAF Champions League encounter at Namboole.

URA’s goalless draw with the Cameroonians in Garoua over the weekend is clearly an inspiration to both the players and the officials, who are determined to knock out Coton.

Despite rejecting residential training earlier, URA secretary Henry Mayeku said yesterday they had reviewed their stand and are likely to camp in Luweero next week.

“Yes we thought it (camp) is not necessary but at this moment the team needs total concentration. And that cannot be achieved in Kampala because there are girlfriends and all sorts of visitors who distract the camp. We want to take the team to Luweero,” Mayeku revealed.

Coach Paul Nkata, who settled for a draw in the first leg is now optimistic his plan to secure a decisive win in the return here is realistic.

Nkata had come under criticism for setting a low benchmark of a draw as URA confronted Coton Sport away.
