President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni and his family have returned to Rwakitura to prepare for the burial of his father, Mzee Amos Kaguta, who passed on Friday morning at the International Hospital in Kampala.

“All the Kaguta family wish to announce the death of their father, grandfather and great grandfather Mzee Amos Kaguta 96, which occurred on February 22, 2013 at 07:00hrs,” said Nabusayi Wamboka, the deputy press secretary to the President.

In a statement, Wamboka said the family was most thankful to all the doctors who cared for Mzee Kaguta, adding that burial arrangements would be announced later.
