According to traders, maize flour is in high supply and selling at a relatively low price of between shs1500-shs1800 a kilogram.

Juliet Akello, a vegetable trader in Kibuye market says that this year’s favourable weather has been the biggest factor.

She says that right now the supply of vegetables like tomatoes, onions, and fruits like oranges, passion fruits and pineapples is good, the prices range between sh1000-shs3000.

Khalid Ngande, a matooke trader in Owino markets says that the supply of matooke is still high, and the price is exceptionally low. The biggest bunch costs shs18000, the medium one costs sh10000-sh150000, and smallest size is shs7000.

Ngande says that if it continues to rain, the supply is likely to increase.
