African Lyon v Young Africans

UGANDA Cranes and Yanga FC striker Hamis ‘Diego’ Kizza has vowed to help his club retain the three point lead they lost to arch-rivals Azam FC in the Tanzania Premier League as his side faces bottom side African Lyon.

"As a striker, all you have to do is to score but a win is a result of teamwork, we will play as a team and hope to win," Kizza stated.

Kizza is enjoying a fine sophomore season in Tanzania which has seen him find the net five times already this season.

Bitter rivals Azam and Yanga are level on 33points but Yanga has a game in hand which will be played at Karume Memorial Stadium. Yanga FC is still top of the table by virtue of their superior goal difference.

Brian Umony's Azam FC went level with Yanga FC after a 4-1 win over Mtibwa Sugar in Morogoro on Sunday.

Umony scored his side’s second goal in the second half with both sides level at one all. Two goals from Ivorian Kipre Tchetche and one from Joackins Atubo sealed the win.

Umony joined Azam from KCC FC in a deal worth $50,000(sh125m) after impressing at Cecafa 2013 in which he scored three goals to lead Uganda Cranes to victory.
