Charles Nsubuga is a living example of what a strong will can achieve in the face of dire circumstances. Nsubuga who dropped out of Katoogo Primary School in P6, first worked as a casual labourer at a building site at Mpoma Satellite in 1978. But while everything he tried overtime turned belly up, a persistent Nsubuga did not give up.

Today, he is the founder and managing director of Sesaco Limited, a fast-growing medium-sized enterprise that produces over 10 tonnes of soy products, pastries and confectionery. He works in partnership with the World Initiative for Soy in Human Health and the University of Illinois, USA. Michael Kanaabi and Prossy Nandudu traced his incredible climb to the top.
