1. The Ministry of Works and Transport has allocated funds from its budget for Financial Year 2012/13 to be used for the procurement of repair services of MV Kalangala.

2. The Ministry of Works and Transport invites sealed bids for the provision of corrective maintenance services for the MV Kalangala.

3. Bidding will be conducted in accordance with the open international bidding procedures contained in the Government of Uganda’s Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act, 2005.

4. You may obtain further information from Ministry of Works and Transport Headquarters, Entebbe and inspect the bidding documents at the address given below in No. 8(a) from 9.00am to 4:00pm.

5. The document will be collected by the bidder from the address given below in No. 8(a) from 9.00am to 4:00pm on payment of a non refundable fee of UGX. 50,000/=. No liability will be accepted for loss or late delivery.

A pre-bid meeting and site visit will be held on the MV Kalangala on the 14th February 2013.

6. A Bid Security in form of a bank guarantee of UGX. 2,000,000/= (Two Million Shillings) will be required.

7. Bids must be delivered to the address below in No. 8(a) at or before 11.00am on 27th March 2013. Late bids shall be rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders’ representatives who choose to attend at the address below in No. 8(a) at 11.30am on 27th March, 2013.

8. (a) Address documents may be inspected at:

P.O. Box 10, Entebbe.

9. Please sign the issue of bid document form that will be available with the Procurement and Disposal Unit as you collect the Bid document.
