The horrifc burns inflicted on Fahad are now septic wounds

A woman is in police custody at Lukaya in Masaka district after concerned residents reported her for torturing a three-year old child.

Mariam Nakyejjwe together with her husband have been torturing Fahad Mubiru who was found with horrific burns all over his body. He had large septic wounds on his hand and foot owing to burns he sustained at the hands of his heartless parents. He had scars on his buttocks from wounds caused by enless caning. Little Fahad also bore scars and burns on his back.


Mariam broke into tears at the police station.

Mariam told the Police that the boy was being tortured by his own father. She said the father caned him daily for soiling the bed and at one point he caned him into unconsciousness.

Meanwhile the Police at Kalungu have in custody three children, including  a toddler that were abandoned by their mother. Residents said the mother has been sleeping in the bush with the children.

Kalungu police chief SP Martine Okoyo said the children; Sauda Namatta, Malusi Nawangi and Adam Kyaterekera were found by Hussein Kayizzi. Kayizzi said the children were abandoned at Mukoko village in Bukulula sub county.
