MBARARA - Emotions ran high on the second day of the ongoing Urban TV-Coca Cola Rated Next auditions. Some cried tears of joy, while others grieved for failing to make it to the Kampala auditions.

The first day of auditions saw a huge turn up at the Independence Park. For the first time, compared to Arua, Gulu, Lira and Fort Portal, the contestants seemed to have heeded to the judges call of strictly singing and not rapping.

The judges were spoilt for choice and had to deal with 37 contestants who made it to day two auditions at Agip Motel.

The highlight for the unrelenting tough judge Sharpe Ssewali, the soft spoken Siima Sabiiti and mischievous Maurice Kirya was the only guitarist Doddy Mugisha, who blew them away with his rendition of Aisha originally done by Khaled from Algeria.

To catch the Rated Next auditions, tune in to Urban TV, Bukedde TV 1 and Bukedde TV 2 and TV West beginning today.

The Masaka auditions end today and Rated Next will head to Mbale on February 16 and 17; Jinja on 23 and 24; and Kampala on March 2 and 3.

The overall winner will walk away with sh50m and an iPad, while the first and second runner up will each get sh5m and sh2m, and an iPad.
