KAMPALA - Nasozzi Kyolaba, 26, who lost both legs in a motor accident, has been abandoned by her husband as she nurses her wounds at Mulago Hospital.

Kyolaba, a mother of two and a peasant farmer briefly recounted her fateful ordeal.

“We were returning from visiting relatives in Luwero, when a vehicle hit us. My relative died on the spot, but I was rushed to Mulago where my legs were amputated.”

Kyolaba said her husband, Mutesasira, abandoned her and their daughters who are currently living with their grandmother, Sarah Namukwaya.

Now stranded, the young mother needs financial assistance to pay fees, hospital bills and to purchase artificial limbs.
