1. The Government of Uganda through Ministry of Works and Transport (MoWT) has budgeted for procurement of the above Vehicles this Financial Year.

2. MoWT now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the supply of the above vehicles.

3. Bidding will be conducted in accordance with the Open Domestic Bidding Procedures contained in the Government of Uganda’s Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act, 2003.

4. Interested bidders may obtain further information from MoWT Headquarters, Entebbe and inspect the bidding documents at the address given below in No. 7(a) from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

5. A complete set of Bidding Documents in English language maybe purchased upon payment of a non-refundable fee of 50,000 (Fifty Thousand Shillings Only). The method of payment will be by deposit on the Uganda Revenue Authority account against a bank payment advice form issued by the Ministry`s Cahiers offi ce at Entebbe. The document will be picked by the bidders from the address in No.7 (a).

6. Bids must be delivered to the address below in No. 7(a) at or before 11.00 a.m. on 11th March 2013. All bids must be accompanied by a bid security of UGX 5,000,000 (Shillings Five Million Only) in form of the bank guarantee or bank draft as per format of bid security contained in this solicitation document.

Late bids shall be rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders’ representatives, who choose to attend at the address given below at 7(a) at 11.30 a.m. on 28 February 2013.
