Four men have been charged with the murder of a freelance Bouncer who was last week stabbed in the chest and died on his way to hospital

The suspects, Musa Ssemakula, Muzafaru Nsamba, Wilson Obulo and another identified only as Joseph were arrested during a police operation in Kisenyi. Kampala Metropolitan police spokesperson Ibin Ssenkumbi said the four were arrested during a search for suspects that had been involved in mob justice.

“During investigations into the murder and the mob justice that followed we arrested four men who are said to have stabbed Siraje Kaweesa with a knife and we also arrested three people who led the mob justice,” Ssenkumbi said.

Ibin said they had recieved information that Kaweesa's assailants were hiding in Kisenyi. He said the four were charged with murder as the hunt for another colleague of theirs called Derrick aka Kabaka who is accused of waylaying people and clobbering them intensifies.

Kaweesa was stabbed in the chest last Wednesday as he tried to rescue a woman whose purse was being grabbed, but died on his way to hospital. Following his death residents went around randomly beating up people they suspected to have murdered  him.
