The Uganda Electricity Distribution Company Limited has allocated funds to be used for acquisition of security services.

Bidding will be conducted in accordance with the Open Domestic Bidding procedures contained in the Government of Uganda’s Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act No. 1 of 2003 and The Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets regulations No. 70 of 2003 and is open to all eligible bidders.

Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from Uganda Electricity Distribution Company Limited and inspect the bidding documents at the address given below from 9.00am to 12.00 noon and 2.00pm to 5.00pm on working days.

A complete set of bidding documents in English maybe purchased by the interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Ug.Shs.100,000 or its equivalent in USD.

The method of payment will be by depositing money on UEDCL bank account and presentation of a banking slip. Documents will be delivered by hand or post. No liability will be accepted for loss or late delivery.

A pre-bid meeting will be held on 19th February 2013 at Plot 37 Nakasero Road, 6th Floor, UEDCL Tower at 11.00am.

Bids must be delivered to the address below at or before 12.00 noon, 5th March, 2013. All bids must be accompanied by a bid security of UGX 3,000,000 (Uganda Shillings Three Million only).

Late bids shall be rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders’ representatives who choose to attend at the address below on 5th March 2013 at 12.30pm.

• Documents will be issued from 6th Floor, UEDCL Tower

• Documents will be delivered to 6th Floor, UEDCL Towers

• Bids will be opened from UEDCL Boardroom, 6th Floor, UEDCL Tower
