LADY rally driver Leila Mayanja will have no excuse if she doesn’t stop Suzan ‘Super lady’ Muwonge as the top woman driver after securing a one year sponsorship deal with Bidco under the firm’s White Star Soap brand.

Mayanja, who was evidently bewildered at the Bidco Bukoto office, explained how bad she needed this support and vowed to go on the top starting with this Sunday’s FMU CBS sprint to which her new sponsors provided sh15m.

“After God helping to solve this big problem, I will not allow Muwonge to dominate again,” stated Mayanja adding: “But still I need a new car to race well and big thanks to my new sponsors because with them on board, I will get one”.

Bidco on Tuesday confirmed the partnership with Mayanja but their regional sales head for central division Rituraj Bhatnajar did not announce the total annual package. He said they would support the driver in any event let it be on the local or international scene.

“We are taking on Mayanja because she is a talented woman with a bright future, all she has to do is to provide her budget to us,” explained Bhatanajar after sealing the deal.

Financial constraints had kept Mayanja out of rallying for several seasons.

However, she has a lot to do because her target, Muwonge, now battles with men and even beats them.
