Is sharing a clan with my mother reason enough to end our relationship?Publish Date: Jan 25, 2013

I am 24 years old and was in a relationship for 11 months. I met my boyfriend when we were at campus. He seemed caring and loving, which I desired in a partner.

However, while dating, I kept hearing rumours that he was chasing other girls. Whenever I would ask him about it, he would deny.

Besides, I used to find him flirting with other girls and whenever I confronted him about it he would get upset and claim that he didn’t love those girls.

No matter how much I told him his flirtatious ways were unhealthy for our relationship, he refused to change.
I never cheated on him when we were dating. Recently he called off our relationship saying he and my mother were from the same clan.

I didn’t think this was reason enough to end our relationship, so I asked him to reconsider his decision, but he refused.
He, however, suggested we remain friends. I still love him, although I hate it that he flirts with other women.

I feel so lonely because he was my best friend. What should I do?
