Opposition pressure group ‘For God and my Country’ (4GC) is seeking for international community’s intervention for the plight of Ugandans which they claim has been tattered by the ruling regime.

According to the group, Ugandans have been denied their right of expression and demonstration by Police under the guise of fighting terrorism.

Former Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) party chief, Dr. Kizza Besigye told a news conference at their offices at Katonga road in Nakasero, Kampala that rights have been curtailed.

 “What we want is not money but support the right of Ugandans to express themselves and demonstrate. It’s unfortunate that Uganda has continued to violate it. We are disappointed that all embassies and funders have remained quiet over the matter,” he said.

He said Ugandans need to be supported in the enjoyment of their rights in expression of their views without fear and intimidation.

The group coordinator, Mathias Mpuuga announced their participate in the Clean Kampala initiative to take place on January 26, (Saturday)  like other responsible city dwellers to clean up the city and there after hold a consultative rally at Nakivubo Settlement Primary School.

Mpuuga said 2013 will be a year of action vowing they still committed to the values and principles through positive activism.
