The interdicted principal accountant in the Prime Minister’s office Geoffrey Kazinda has applied bail seeking to be released.

Kazinda who has been in Luzira prison since October2012, is expected to appear Tuesday in court for his bail application before Justice David Wangutusi of the Anti- Corruption Court.

Through his lawyer MacDosman Kabega, Kazinda argued that   he was previously granted bail by senior Grade One Magistrate Emmanuel Baguma of the Anti- Corruption Court.

He further stated that he has no previous criminal record and if granted bail he will not abscond his trial which is still pending.

Kazinda is charged with abuse of office, forgery and making document without authority.
